ATTORNEY BIOGRAPHY
I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Pre-professional studies from the University of Notre Dame in May 1973. After continuing my studies and receiving a Master of Science from Notre Dame in 1975, I
went to the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston to study Medical Genetics. While there I was employed as a disc jockey and sports reporter for KUFO-FM in Galveston. In 1977 I returned to
Notre Dame Law School. I was the Co-Editor of the Sports Law Journal and the Assistant Women’s Varsity Basketball Coach while in Law School.
In April 1980, I took and passed the bar exam for the United States Patent and Trademark Office. In May of 1980 I received my law degree from Notre Dame. I worked for a patent law firm in South
Bend, Indiana for a year and moved to Kansas City.
I have practiced civil law in the Kansas City area for 19 years. I am licensed to practice in Indiana, Missouri, Kansas, the federal courts of those states, The federal appeals courts for the Seventh,
Eighth, Tenth and Eleventh Federal Circuits and the United States Supreme Court.
The areas in which I practice include personal injury, torts, workers compensation, intellectual property (patents, trademarks and copyrights), civil litigation (plaintiff and defendant), contracts, business
and municipal court.
